Uptown Condo
Bold, charismatic, and energetic clients who wanted to bring that energy into their home!
This client is another one who came to us knowing what they wanted it to look like, but really needed the help to make it come to life. And we can see why! With all of the bright bold colors, an expert is definitely needed to ensure everything works in tandem. When the client showed us images, it was a mashup of brightly colored spaces with a lot of mid century modern furniture. A modern take on post modern retro, if you will. This was going to be a tricky combination to get right, but we rose to the challenge to ensure this space reflected the fun, charismatic, and bold characteristics we saw in the client.
The bold colors run throughout the house to make a strong statement. This house is not for the faint of heart, but screams with fun and vibrance. All of the colors were drawn from the large inspiration piece in the living room. Vibrant blues and oranges is where we began, and paired those with accent colors of yellow and green. The rug is where we started with a custom FLOR rug and were able to continue those rugs into the dining and kitchen. Super durable and easy to assemble, this was an amazing option for the budget of the client! We then splurged a little to create functionality in the living room that was absolutely needed. We purchased a frame tv so that the client could rotate art, but the real functionality comes from the tv mount that brings the tv down to eye level with just the touch of a button!
We took hold of this bold color palette and continued it into the entryway, but this time pairing it with a Keith Haring wallpaper, and climbing chrome bubbles as you enter the home. This is sure to be an entry that people will NOT forget! To save on some renovation cost, we chose to create a custom solution to hide the door buzzer with a sliding painting! With the touch of a finger you can reveal the buzzer and then its hidden in plain sight!
This fun and bold wallpaper doesn't stop in the bathroom. We did a custom mural for this space and painted the ceiling black, but paired that with vibrant yellow and blue accents. With a light renovation we were able to bring more space to this bathroom by installing a floating vanity and a recessed lighted LED mirror. Beauty and functionality don't have to be at odds, and this home proves it!
As we moved into the bedroom, we wanted it to be a more calming space. So while we have vibrant colors in the main spaces, we have the absence of color in the bedroom. With dark gray walls and a black accent wall, we have created a more subdued environment for relaxing at the end of the day. One giant piece of black and white abstract art paired with a super fun neon sign, and we have tied it back to their inherently fun and bold personality. This home reflects exactly who this client is, and he couldn't be more happy with how everything turned out!
