Edgewater Renovation

Dark and Moody for the bedrooms juxtaposed with bright fun entertainment spaces!

In this space we had a combination of a few of our services. We did a full renovation of the master suite and guest bath as well as a room refresh for the living/entertainment spaces. With the entertainment spaces, the client already had some really fun and colorful artwork that he wanted to keep and showcase. We helped him select each of the pieces and curated where in the room they would flow best based on color and proportions. The juxtaposition of these modern pieces with some antique furniture finds made each piece shine in their own right.

The master suite and guest bath were a full renovation gut job and we worked with the client to determine the atmosphere they would like for their more relaxing spaces and he wanted a darker, sexier, and overall calming vibe to relax at the end of his day, much like a high end boutique hotel experience. That being said, we created a calm spa like atmosphere for the bathroom with some clean white walls, but juxtaposed with darker accents to tie back into the bedroom. Full height custom glass enclosure allows for a steam shower where we actually raised the ceiling for a rain head to be installed. Across from the shower is a custom wood paneled wall as the backsplash to the sink area to bring in warmth to the space. Many of these same materials were selected for the guest bath to ensure a cohesive home, but with the main difference in the guest bath being the floating vanity to create more visual space. Both spaces were made much larger visually by swapping tubs with shower enclosures. Each of the bathrooms have a custom made wire artwork that brings just a touch of that sexier vibe that the client was looking for in these spaces.

This brings us to the master bedroom. This is the space where we honed in on the dark and sexy vibes. The wooden bed and nightstands are beautifully clean lined and modern selections that bring in the darkest of the tones while still giving a warm vibe. The backdrop for these pieces is a textured wood wallpaper that gives the look of tree bark. This accent wall is what brought this room to the next level. We paired all of this with some super warm toned light fixtures. The bedside lamps are concrete and metal along with the circular metal chandelier above the bed. We balanced all of these dark tones with fresh clean while linens for the bed and a white leather chaise that sits in a bay of windows, perfect for curling up at the end of the night to read a good book and wind down. The client absolutely loves their space and said we absolutely "nailed it" and we couldn't be more pleased with how these spaces turned out!
